Toby Ng has managed to project statistics in a very creative manner aptly titled, “In the world of 100″.  Conventional bar charts, pie charts and scatter plots? Think again!

If the world was a village of 100 people, how many people would be coloured? How many people would have HIV?

The world of 100 projects trivia on the world’s statistics and scales it down to 100 people. Toby also uses an interesting take by creating charts in the form of relevant images such as a black and white zebra to depict the colour of our skin, and a pizza to depict food.

My only gripe for Toby Ng was that in order to showcase his designs, he has quite forgotten one of the fundamentals, is that you have to make sure your pictures are clear, and the message of your content gets across. His does not because his pictures are too small. I have had to zoom in to get a view of the text in the pictures, which is a shame because they are lovely designs.

The other sections on his clean and simple site are worth looking at, namely Uncovered, a project he did on Chinese illegal immigrants in the UK. Some of the pictures are thought-provoking and convey so much emotion with just one single shot.
