This is probably not very politically correct, and even illegal but I couldn’t help but marvel at the possibility of a legal pot-smoking nation, and how would they market the product.
Marijuana have been labelled the world’s “safest illegal drug” as overdosing rarely, if never, happens. The effects are temporary and to consume a lethal dose of pot, you’d have to consume at least one third of your body weight.
Fast Company displayed a few package designs for the marketing purposes of the drug to answer a hypothetical question: :If weed was made legal, how would you market it?”

This I thought looked very appealing, very minimalist a la Apple’s iPod designs.

I thought this looked rather tacky, but I can see how some people would equate the colours with the drug

And this picture looked more like condom packs to me than anything else!

I’ve blogged about Rob Sheridan’s photographs before, today I’m going to blog about his SketchBlog
Rob’s sketchblog is another side hobby, to publish his creative illustrations and art, besides showing the more personal side of him not seen on his professional portfolio.

As you can see, Rob’s illustrations veer towards the kitschy, weird and a strange affinity to monsters.
Definitely not your everyday cuddly animals.
They are worth a look at though, monsters they may be, they still are darned cool-looking ones.
I wish I had that kind of talent.

This is turning out to be one of my favourite websites, ever.
I don’t know about guys, but a lot of girls do like to buy kitschy itty bitty stuff that doesn’t have much practical use, really, except for it to look cute or cause’ it’s pretty.

I mean, who really needs sticky adhesive notes to paste on cups, papers and tables like the one above?
But don’t you want one of these after looking at them? I know I do.

These are mini knitted baby daschunds.
I really cannot categorize the site, but I think the site name sums it up best. It really does contain jars of cute, be it pictures of food, little furry toys, keychains, bits of craft paper, or little paper flowers -things that tug at your heart and make you go “aww” and “I wish I had one of those”.

Here are bits of felt pins that are carefully handmade…

And here is a fantastic paper art of pop up owls on a paper tree.
Very creative, and inspirational too, in case your creative bone comes a-calling.

This site (more like page really) shows a variety of creative illustrations and the project was to have one creative illustration per day. the illustrations are a bit different from usual, and nearly all of them are food for thought that causes you to go OOOooh i never thought it could be drawn/shown in that way before. Sometimes, I really wonder what goes on in creative people’s minds.
Some examples:

Toby Ng has managed to project statistics in a very creative manner aptly titled, “In the world of 100″. Conventional bar charts, pie charts and scatter plots? Think again!
